James Webb space telescope (JWST)

In the beginning, our universe was very hot and dense. as the universe cooled down, the electrons interacted with the nuclei forming the first atoms. A few hundred million years later the first stars and eventually galaxies appeared.

This think will help us understand

A 10 billion dollar time machine! which has been in development for over 20 years. We are talking about an incredibly powerful telescope yeah ,𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐛𝐛 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞.

It is 100 times more powerful than the Hubble telescope. Just look at the comparison of the their primary mirrors.

JWST's mirror is 113 kilograms and 249 pounds lighter than Hubble telescope.
It works in infrared spectrum The infrared spectrum can penetrate the dust cloud and allow us to see the stars forming within. It will help us find the first galaxies that formed in the early universe after the big bang.

Finally launched on 24th December 2021, after so many delays. It is developed by NASA, with contributions from the ESA and CSA . It will take about nearly 30 days to travel nearly a million miles to it's permanent home.

On Jan 8th, 2022, NASA's James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) team fully deployed its 21-foot, gold-coated primary mirror including the 70-foot sunshield.

The telescope will be able to tell us more about the birth of galaxies, stars, and planets . It may completely change the science as we know it. The universe keeps many secrets, but James Webb space telescope should help us uncover the mysteries.

    1. Deep space network(dsn) the largest and most sensitive telecommunication system in the world. It's an array of large radio antennas around the world tht would allow constant communication wid the space observatory. As the earth rotates, before it goes below the Horizon at one dsn site an another one can pick up the single nd this is how it works.
